Last Night I Was Using A Q-tip To Clean My

Last night I was using a q-tip to clean my right ear. I was gentle and using a spinning motion rather than digging. There was a good amount of wax on the q-tip and when I finished I lost most of the hearing in that ear. It just feels plugged so I am wondering if there is anything I can try at home right away or if I need to see a doctor.
