Last Night I Was Watching Tv, And I Don't Have

Last night I was watching tv, and I don't have an idea what happened, don't remember doing anything out of the norm, i just remember turning my head to the left, not sure if I swallowed as I turned my head, but it almost sounded like something popped and the pain hit. Excruciating pain! I could not swallow without horrid pain and the pain shot into my left ear. (This is still the case, yet pain not quite as horrid.)
I had this same thing happen to me apprx 10 years ago, was taken to the ER, but doctors there could not determine the case. They gave me muscle relaxers and sent me home. Luckily I have some muscle relaxers here at home, prescribed a few months ago for back muscle pull. I have taken two of them since last night, but I am still in tremendous pain. HELP!
