Last Night I Was Choked During Sex (controlled) But My

Last night i was choked during sex (controlled) but my husband and I heard a popping sound and it hurt... we immediately (obviously) stopped and today I am having difficulty swallowing, breathing is fine though and have pain in the neck at the left side of adams apple, ear is also painful at times. Should I be concerned?
