Last Wednesday, While Playing Roller Derby I Got Kicked In

Last wednesday, while playing roller derby I got kicked in the ribs on my right side. There is only a very small bruise, but the area where the injury occurred is tender to the touch. Today it has been bothering me more than when it happened. Do I need to get an x-ray?
