Last Week I Noticed I Was Bloated. Monday My Period

Last week I noticed I was bloated. Monday my period came except it was brown discharge. Monday night it turned to bright red blood with clots but still brown discharge mixed in. By Tuesday (yesterday) my period vanished. I took pregnancy test today but it was negative. Confused.
