Last Week My Right Ear Hurt Really Bad And I

Last week my right ear hurt really bad and I thought I got water in it bought a wax removal kit and within a few days ear a little better my hearing still off then two days ago my left ear started hurting and is plugged up now I have a hard knot in front of my ear the knot doesn't hurt but my ear hurts inside and I can't hear out of it. What can I do to rectify this problem as I have been laid off from work and can't afford going to doctor right now please help
