Last Year I Had Thrush 5 Times Within The Space

Last year I had thrush 5 times within the space of 3 months, after the doctors tried several creams ect they put me on 6 months of an antibiotic (name forgotten). This finished about a month ago and I had no thrush during this time. About 5 days ago I started to experience symptoms of thrush again (itching, swelling, white discharge) and so today I bought some canisten. When I went to apply the cream I noticed under the hood but like on the tip of my clitoris there is a red bump like pimple thing. If it's touched or my underwear rubs against it it causes a severe sharp pain. What can I do about this? I have had the same sexual partner for 3 years and I have had the mirena coil for 8 months.
