Late This Afternoon My Wife Had A Thyroid Ultrasound So
Late this afternoon my wife had a thyroid ultrasound so we do not have report / reading yet. She went to see her general doctor the other day about a lingering cold and the doctor noticed what I would call a slight horizontal swelling towards the base of her neck ... she said go get a thyroid ultrasound. I sat in the room during the ultrasound and do not know much. He took measurements ... 2 looked like wide measurements and 2 or 3 looked like smaller measurements. At any rate, when my wife had her head turned to the left and then the right and at those times I noticed blue color (not little specks ... a couple of those were very noticeable and then there was a fair amount of red speckles some larger than speckles. What do those colors mean? In the little time I have spent on the internet it looks like that means something ranging from benign nodules to vascularity to cancer ... and some of the possible cancers seem to be more potentially broad than just limited to thyroid including spreading to lymph nodes. Can you give me any insight? Smart questions to ask when we see the next doctor which is presumably ENT? My wife is my world. Thank you very very much.
