MY 79 Year Old Mother Just Had Emergency Surgery On

MY 79 year old mother just had emergency surgery on the 14th March for a ruptured small intestine located right above her pancreas and kindness, She is now recovering and back on solid foods for two days in a rehab center but the surgeon put her back on all of her regular meds including potassium supplement with her highballed pressure pill with hydrochloride. and did not refer her to a specialist to get a new diet or meds for her to go home with.. Also surgeon told her it was her arthritis medicine that caused the perforated intention to burst, doesn't she need to be under a gastroenterologist care for her diet and new meds so that this doesn't happen again?
