MY Mother In Law Was Diagnosed With Melanoma Five Years

MY Mother in Law was diagnosed with melanoma five years ago which had metastasized to her brain, lung and shoulder. She was treated with a lot of radiation and an experimental infusion, which saved her life. Last night, she was admitted to ER due to severe stomach pain. A laparoscopy showed she had a mass on her appendix and colon. They removed mass, along with appendix and part of her colon. Surgeon has said he is fairly certain it's cancer, but not sure what kind. Biopsy results not due until Monday. Any idea on her prognosis?
