Maybe About A Month Ago, My Dogs Were Fighting And

Maybe about a month ago, my dogs were fighting and when I went to go brake it up one of them bit my thumb nail. It's was painful for a couple of days after and it's been fine since and I haven't had a problems until now. A couple day after accident my mum and I notice that my nail had started to go brown and we thought that it might have been tried blood under my nail and my mum insured me that it was fine and would eventually grow out.
Over the last couple of days I notice that my nail has become quite soft. Just today I realised that were my nail grows the nail is actually peeling, I accidentally caught my nail and little more peeled off. It's not painful and there's still some nail underneath but I'm just a bit worried. I don't know if my nail is going to eventually come off or whether it will eventually grow back as normal and I don't know what to do.
