Me And My Fiance Have Been Trying For A Baby

Me and my fiance have been trying for a baby for 2 months now i am late for my period. But on tuesday i had a cortisone/steroid injection in my hips for bursitis pain and then the next day took a pregnancy test and it was negative could it have been false? From the injections?
