Middle Of November 2016, I Started Taking Atorvastatin 80mg Tablets,

Middle of November 2016, I started taking Atorvastatin 80mg Tablets, replacing Vytorin Tablets which I had been taking for a long time. On Dec. 20, 2016. my urine was dark in color. The urine color goes on for a few days, 2-3 days, then it clears up for a day or two. Then the cycle starts again. I went to a doctor to find out about this and the test of my urine color is blood. The doctor referred me for CAT Scan and to a urology.
I read the side effect of Atprvastatin Tablets and it mentioned "dark urine" as one of the side effects. Now, the question is, are the CAT Scan and Urologist needed if I stop taking Atorvastatin? Thanks.
