Mole Appeared On My Back. Quite Large. Then It Began

Mole appeared on my back. Quite large. Then it began falling apart. Now has almost disappeared. Also, possibly unrelated, what appears to be bruises appeared on my shins and ankles ranging in size from a dime to 1 1/2 inch in diameter - not sore like a bruise, but looks like bruises. Should I be concerned?
