Monthly Period Still Not Due For Another 10 Days. Have

Monthly period still not due for another 10 days. Have stomach pains constantly from gastric surgery go wrong so cnt tell if related. Anyway I have a very heavy period couple days ago then stopped. Unsure why. Never experienced like this. What could be reason? I know I'm not pregnant either. Thanks
