My 1 Year Old 17 Pound Cairn Terrier Got Into

My 1 year old 17 pound cairn terrier got into and ate probably 1/2 a container of zoom soft chews (maybe 25 or so of them and a dog his weight should have 1/2 chew daily). It happened yesterday and he has had diarrhea overnight and a little today. Should I be watching for anything? or be taking him to a vet?
