My 11 Year Old Daughter Has A Shingles Like Rash

My 11 year old daughter has a shingles like rash on her forearm (the part of the forearm if her palms are facing up). She has had it for 2 weeks and it does itch and sometimes burn. It's localized and she has no other symptoms. We have tried itch cream , calamine , and allergy medicine but it has gone away. She was at the beach and walked through a wooded area pretty close to the time that she started to notice it ( she thinks it was after the beach but is not sure). She has a nurse appt for a normal vaccination on Sept 1st. We don't know if we should take her in before that because she just started school. Any advice?
