My 11 Yr Old Daughter Coughed And Said Something Popped

My 11 yr old daughter coughed and said something popped in her ear. When she hears now she says it sounds as if she's under water. We saw a Dr who gave us some drops for her ears, an antibiotic and steroid. She says it helps for a few hours but then the under water sensation returns.
