My 11 Yr Old Son Has Moderate To Severe Pain

My 11 yr old son has moderate to severe pain on the left side of his body near his rib cage area. He's also experiencing pain on the left side of his body between his collar bone and shoulder. He has a fever of 102.0 and I just gave him Motrin to reduce it. Do any of these symptoms mean anything? Should I bring him to the emergency room?
