My 12 Month Old Son Was Diagnosed With Coxsackie Virus

My 12 month old son was diagnosed with coxsackie virus several weeks ago. The doctor told us to go get his routine blood work done while he was sick with the virus. Only 3 days after diagnosis. I then received a phone call from the office several days ago telling me that his platelets are slightly high and his white count was slightly low. Could this be from the coxsackie or should I be worried. I'm very nervous about this.
