My 12 Year Old Dog Mixed Breed (part Bernese MT

My 12 year old dog mixed breed (part Bernese MT and unsure of the other-though he is medium sized) started vomiting and now some blood and today I realized he is bleeding from the rectum. He is lethargic and not eating. I live in an area where there is no emergency care and I will have him seen in the morning. In the meantime what can I do for his comfort, and if needed should I travel for emergency care.
