My 13 Year Old Son Has Been Complaining About Pain

My 13 year old son has been complaining about pain at the bottom of his foot..Where the arch is between the heel and the toes.. He's very active.. Plays sports. Basketball right now.. It's not swollen and it looks normal.. Is this something I should be taking him to see a doctor over and be concerned are is it something that I can fix at home?
