My 14 Year Old Daughter Has Recently Gone Through A

My 14 year old daughter has recently gone through a progression of fulminant idiopathic intracranial hypertension. As a result she has lost most of her vision. We are hoping it will get better but the prognosis is unknown. For a few days she has been seeing flashes of what she describes as segments of her vision getting pixelated. Can you explain this?
