My 14 Year Old Son Is Complaining Of Right Ear

My 14 year old son is complaining of right ear pain which runs down the side of his neck. It caused him to begin to cry. He took two ibuprofen a little less than a half hour ago. He says it doesn't seem to be helping. He is insisting on me looking into it for him. I will say that every time he complained of ear pain as a boy (he did have tubes), he did have an ear infection. Thus, I am inclined to believe him. Additionally, he is suffering from a "cold."
