My 14 Yr Old Daughter All The Sudden Has A

My 14 yr old daughter all the sudden has a nickel size bald spot on her scalp near her hairline. She is biracial 1\2 black and 1\2 white so she has very thick hair but the spot appears to be shiny and lacks the little micro sized dots that would remain if we were to shave it or pull it out???
