My 14yo Son Has Tubes.. They Have Been For About

My 14yo son has tubes.. they have been for about 2 years. We went to ENT today because he has has yellow drainage for 2-3weeks. Today the doctor did the vacuum and he got a lot of puss out and then puffed the powder antibiotics in his ear. This was about 2pm. My son has been fine the rest of day until a little bit ago when he felt drainage and popping so he placed a q-tip just at edge of canal (not in his ear) and the q-tip filled with blood. Is this normal considering infection and vacuuming today. He was prescribed ciprodex drops until culture comes back. I'm just worred about the bleeding at 11pm and I can't call his ENT. It's not copious bleeding out of ear. Thank you
