My 15 Year Old Daughter Had A Fall 2 Days

My 15 year old daughter had a fall 2 days ago. She hit her back. X-rays showed no broken ribs/bones or hardware. She had spinal fusion 2 1/2 years ago. She had a red spot from the impact. As of today she has a lump in that area that is the size of a softball. She has been taking ibuprofen for pain. Is this just swelling from a bruised rib or something else?
