My 15 Year Old Daughter Has Had These Burn Like,

My 15 year old daughter has had these burn like, red marks on 6 out of 10 fingers. They feel like leather and had previously peeled. They seem to have taken away her fingerprints. She paints her nails a lot and frequently used acetone to remove the polish. Could this be the reason or could it be something more serious?
