My 16 Year Old Son Is Complaining Of His Skin

My 16 year old son is complaining of his skin in his back hurting. Says it feels like sores but no sore are there. We went to a dr today and he was diagnosed with a cold with cough. He is taking DayQuil and niquil and using qvar and albuteral. What could be the cause if his skin hurting?
