My 17 Month Old Has A Very Red Outer Ear

My 17 month old has a very red outer ear but does not seem bothered by it. He has been dealing with sniffles and a cough all week which we assume is related to allergies. He has been wearing shorts all week and today I saw what looks like with small poison ivy rashes or bug bites. He is acting totally normal though; no fever or anything.
