My 17 Year Old Son Started Having Pin Pricking Sensations

My 17 year old son started having pin pricking sensations today after mowing the grass and taking a lukewarm shower. We went to the doctor and she said she felt it was from his sunburn, not severe from sun exposure on Friday. We did Benadryl cream. She prescribed a steroid PAC. We are back to pin prick feelings 8hpurs later. What can we do?
