My 18 Year Old Son Was Playing First-person Shooter Video

My 18 year old son was playing first-person shooter video games this afternoon. (Varsity baseball player and bass drum player in Marching Band- very athletic.) Said he turned his neck quickly and got a shooting pain up the back of his neck into his head. Said where pain stopped "feels warm" to him. Both sides of head feel same temperature to me. I believe he is having a nerve reaction from holding head still while playing the game and then turning suddenly. There is no pain now- 5 minutes later. Are there any symptoms I should be on the lookout for to see a doctor?
