My 2 And A Half Year Old Nephew Recently Began

My 2 and a half year old nephew recently began taking Flintstone vitamins, today while changing his diaper I noticed his stool was black. I bagged it up and wanted a professional opinion on whether this is something he should be seen immediately for or if those vitamin supplements causes black stool. Please help.
