My 2 Yr Old Son Has Had A Heavy Cough

My 2 yr old son has had a heavy cough with some congestion for the past couple of days. Today he came home from daycare with a rash on his sides, stomach, back and legs. We talked to the sitter and she said he didn't have anything out of the usual to eat. Not sure if the cough and rash are related and he is not running a fever. He seems to be in good spirits and still has plenty of energy. I'm just curious if there is something going around that might have these symptoms.
