My 20 Month Old Great Grandson Has Been Diagnosed With

My 20 month old great grandson has been diagnosed with rev virus's. He was put on kappa and it takes two people together it in him. He screams and hollers noassoon as he sees the syringe. Is there something else we could give him? His demeanor has completely changed. Any help would be greatly apprecisted
