My 22 Year Old Daughter Was Married One Month Ago.

My 22 year old daughter was married one month ago. Last night I finally had enough and called the police. She's has bruises all over her body and has told me that he beats on her. Her husband came outside while I was waiting on the police and cussed me something awful. She has told me that she wants to leave but when the cops arrive she took credit for the abuse. The cops left. I know shes afraid of him and I don't know how to talk to her about this type of violence. The statement from the officer was if he gets called back again they both go to jail.
Any suggestions on how I can talk to her?
