Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 22-year old son has had a swollen lymph node on the left side of his neck for over a week now. It's located about 1/2 inch from his jawline and feels hard. He went to the doctor who prescribed Bactroban which he's been taking twice a day for the past 5 days. Unfortunately, not only is the lymph node still just as swollen, but he is also extremely fatigued, running a low-grade fever, has bad headaches, and vacillates between having the chills one minute and then being extremely hit the next. I have suggested he return to the doctor or, better yet, go to the ER. Any suggestions?
