My 28 Year Old Grandson Has Been Diagnoised As Paranoid

My 28 year old grandson has been diagnoised as paranoid schtzophrenic. He is also a herorin addict. He started experimenting with drugs as a teenager. He missed most of the maturity steps. He is currently in jail for violation of his probation. He is very frightened and angry and resently told me he was going to kill himself before the Mexican mafia killed him. I alerted the jail and he is now in lock down. Is there any hope for this kind of dual diagnoisis? Connie Cowley in Salt Lake City UT
