My 3 Year Fell And Hit His Head Pretty Hard

My 3 year fell and hit his head pretty hard on a hard surface. A knot came out across his head where he hit it. I checked his pupils and he hasn't vomitted or tried falling asleep. Do I need to worry about brain bleeding or swelling? He cried for a few minutes but is now up wanting to play.
