My 3 Year Old Son Fell In The Grocery Cart

My 3 year old son fell in the grocery cart and hit his throat about two hours ago he is now sleeping but i am still worried he cried at firat but was rather easy to calm he was able to talk and eat (he fell asleep during a late dinner) he is breathing normally but he has large bruises across his throat how long could it continue to swell or cause other injury
