Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 30 year old son just had his blood work done and his liver enzymes are 54. He is not a heavy drinker (maybe once a month) but is overweight and has been a smoker since age 15. He is in a trial to quit smoking now but the researchers tested his blood and his liver enzymes were the only thing off the charts.
Is this a dangerous situation? What should we be doing about this?
