My 35 Year Old Son Has Been Seen By A

My 35 year old son has been seen by a doctor at emergency following chest pain and shortness of breathe and the doctor has determined he has had heart damage and it may be due to myocardial or pericarditis. We are waiting to see a cardiologist march 2 but over night my son has experienced shoertness of breathe and he says tightness in his chest. He is not wanting to seek medical assistance and says he can wait till march 2. He says he just wants to rest to see if his discomfort subsides.... is he safe if he just rests to see if he feels better in a while?
