My 4 Year Old Son Choked A Bit On A

My 4 year old son choked a bit on a piece of food and is now having bouts of stomach pain. He bends over, grabs stomach and cries. Then about 5 minutes he is fine and playing. He's done this twice over the past hour and a half.
Each time he has the pain he salivates as though he needs to vomit but doesn't. He has had some water, a roll, and a little more chicken since initially choking.
Not sure if I should take him into urgent care or just watch him...would it be safe for him to go to bed?
