My 44 Year Old Daughter Drank Too Much Today With

My 44 year old daughter drank too much today with friends. She called me and said she is losing her mind. She is an RN so said bring some valium that I had for years. She was drunk and her mind going in circles about her friend who died in front of her at Christmas from alcohol. She went out with friends of theirs and drank too much. She took 4 mg. of Diazepam and seems to be calming down. Was she right when she said she could take them?
