My 47 Year Old Husband Has Been Told He More

My 47 year old husband has been told he more than like has Myasthenia Gravis. The neurologist he is seeing has told him that until he gets his nerve/muscle test (December 18, 2015) to confirm his diagnosis that the only medication he can prescribe to him is Mestinon - he is currently trying the time released version. My husband has severe vertical vision and is extremely sick/ill feeling all day. I guess what I would like to know is ... if there is anything that we can do besides take this medication and wait on test results. He has already seen an ophthalmologist who did not offer any treatment but did ask if he would see their eyelid specialist - which my husband did not because he could not image what an eyelid specialist could do. Are there any supplements, does he need to avoid any types of foods, etc. We know stress plays a role but my husband just can't seem to get too many good hours in a day right now.
