My 47 Yr Old Wife Had An Episode She Thought

My 47 yr old wife had an episode she thought might be UTI and this happened the morning after drinking quiet a bit of alcohol. They treated it like a UTI and it seemed to get better, a week later she and I had a few drinks and the next morning the same symptoms only more painful,,so they are treating again with antibiotics. My question is could the alcohol be the cause of the issues?
