My 4yr Old Has Had Cough And Minor Fever For

My 4yr old has had cough and minor fever for the past two nights,last night she cried for about two hours but wouldn't tell me what was wrong,(she's terrified of doctors). Twice today she had nosebleeds and her cough worsens when she sleeps. Should I get her to a hospital or continue with Motrin for fever and cough medicine? Please help
