My 5 Y.o. Has Been Coughing And With A Runny

My 5 y.o. has been coughing and with a runny nose for approx. 3 wks. He has eye discharge starting yesterday and today he comes home from school with an increase. Approx. 3:00 he wakes up with his eyes matted shut and his left eyelids are swollen and his eye is red. Planning to go to his pediatrician tomorrow but I was wondering if there was anything I can do now.
