My 5 Yo Son Holds His Poop In For Days.

My 5 yo son holds his poop in for days. He holds it and then pees his pants trying to keep from pooping. He usually will hold It until he can't any longer and then goes in his pants. We already give him children's laxatives. We are at a loss with what to do. We have given rewards, praise...nothing seems to help.
