My 5yr Old Granddaughter Came Out About Being Molested By

My 5yr old Granddaughter came out about being molested by her father. She said he put something in her mouth and it was yucky and she spat it out. My question is He has herpes. Shortly after her disclosure she started having server tonsil infections and they were very bad. She got sick two times so far and it seems everytime she disclosed abuse. Can herpes infection give her tonsil infection if he putting it in her mouth.
